More than 40 years after the first gravel wheel was released, the “RC-G5” continues to evolve through feedback from real competition such as the WRC.

While maintaining the rigidity and strength in the load and lateral-G directions of the RC-G4, the best in its history, it further increases rigidity in the rotational direction (under acceleration and braking). Optimizing rim thickness and inner shape for each size also increases clearance to brakes and suspension.

■Higher Rigidity Under Acceleration and Braking
Maintains the RC-G4’s class-leading rigidity and strength in the load and lateral-G directions while increasing rigidity in the rotational direction.

■Improved Brake Cooling
A new design that keeps gravel out at the disc center while considering brake rotor heat dissipation.

■Improved Mud Shedding
Based on feedback from the field, where mud builds up easily and wheels need frequent cleaning, the shapes of the spoke bases and details have been revised to shed mud better than previous products.

■Increased Brake and Suspension Clearance
Rim thickness and inner shape are optimized for each size to increase clearance to brakes and suspension.

■Other Features
● Improved mounting and removal thanks to a revised hub bolt hole shape.
● Compatible with VO calipers.
● Improved knurling on the bead seat further reduces tire slip on the rim at low tire pressures.
