This is an OS Giken 5-speed close-ratio transmission for the RX-7 FD3S.

With the stock transmission, which has poor gear shifting, many drivers will notice poor acceleration during circuit driving or sports driving, due to the characteristics of the rotary engine which has weak low-end torque.

This 5-speed close-ratio transmission has well-designed gear ratios and can be used at a level that is not problematic even for street driving. Furthermore, with the FD3S, which easily exceeds 400 horsepower when boosted and turbocharged, the durability of the stock transmission is a concern, but this product allows it to handle up to around 500 horsepower. (Durability varies depending on usage, oil management, etc.)

We also use this in our demo car FD3S (vehicle weight: 1,160kg, 530hp), which retains comfort features such as air conditioning and audio, and recorded a time of 56.4 seconds at Tsukuba Circuit. (No problems for 3 years without overhaul)

It’s an exceptional weapon, especially at Tsukuba Circuit. Of course, it’s not just about speed; changing from the standard transmission doubles the driving enjoyment.
