This hood for the FD3S RX-7 pursues lightness, high strength, aerodynamic performance, and design in every aspect.

The two large ducts aligned in the center are positioned considering the so-called “V-mount” configuration commonly seen on the FD3S RX-7, taking into account the exhaust angles from the intercooler and radiator. Furthermore, by extending the press line to the rear of the hood, the exhausted air is guided to the sides, preventing hot air from hitting the wing.

The two ducts on the sides not only exhaust air that accumulates behind the retractable headlights, but also help reduce “hood lift” at high speeds, which is crucial for achieving a lightweight design.

While maximum clearance has been considered in the duct shape, depending on the vehicle specifications, interference with intercooler piping, battery, strut bar, etc., may be necessary, requiring modifications as shown in the photos. Please be aware of this beforehand.
